Job Details
Location: Onsite - CBP Headquarters at the Ronald Reagan Building (1300 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington, DC, 20004).
Security Clearance:
A high-level Department of Defense (DoD) active security clearance may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.
Salary Range - $90,000 - 100,000
Job Summary:
Business operations specialist (senior level) needed to support Customs Border Protection/Office of the Chief Medical Officer future-state functions enhancing the CBP Border Health System operational environment. A Department of Homeland Security background investigation is required (will postpone actual start date a few months)
Key Responsibilities:
- Document and validate proposed structures, functions, capabilities, and maturity assessments
- Make recommendations to advance CBP/OCMO future state functions to enhance the CBP Border Health System operational environment.
- Design and deploy simple data analytics, reporting, monitoring, and evaluation methods, tools, and/or visualization products to support OCMO data-driven program reviews/actions, leadership decisions, and transformation efforts on the U.S. Border Health System initiatives.
- Facilitate and pilot near-term OCMO program and leadership strategic objective priorities, to include streamlined processing and improvements on health security initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
- BA/BS or MA/MS degree
- Minimum 3 years of experience as Systems Consultant, Business operations Specialist, or similar position.
- Ability to show increasing skills in applying process innovation, data analytics, and design decision support analysis tools and products.
- Demonstrate initiative, sound judgment, and effective decision-making in interoperations of digital, IT, and related systems efforts in support OCMO business transformation and operational improvement efforts.
- Ability to plan and organize work
- Demonstratable excellent oral and written communication skills to deliver documented work products.
- Detailed-oriented, self-starter experienced in supporting senior government leaders and other technical and business professionals.
- Knowledge of and experience in Office 365, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint are required at minimum.

Physical Requirements:
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. The position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and the location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required. Possible lifting up to 50 lbs.
