Position Summary
The Digital Graphics Operator/Design Assistant is responsible for set-up, operation, routine maintenance, and maintaining the optimum environment for the digital graphics machine. The Operator is expected to meet customer and internal requirements for high-quality graphics in an effective and efficient manner.
Schedule
1st Shift :
Monday - Friday (7AM - 5PM)
Weekends (As Needed)
Responsibilities
- Operate & maintain HP Digital Printer
- Provide basic service and maintenance.
- Use Adobe Illustrator
- Work in partnership with the department managers.
- Work with customers and team members to solve problems.
- Maintain an organized workplace.
- Perform tasks by following instructions and adhere to all safety rules without exception.
- Effectively communicate with other team members
What It Takes
Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Demonstrates ability to work with key tools such as spectro-photodensitometer, tape measure.
- Computer skills
- Graphics skills a strong plus
- Ability to relate well to customers.
- Shows competency at reading print cards, production masters, understanding color charts and guides, understanding corrugated characteristics (i.e. warp, liner types, coatings), working with fractions, filling in paperwork, entering computer data, and communicating effectively.
- Must be able to demonstrate the inspection process from set-up to production.
- Must be able to schedule the machine and troubleshoot production/mechanical issues.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to hot and/or humid as well as cold conditions depending on outside weather. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, vibrations, louder than normal environments, and high paced atmosphere
