Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions. Ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
- Work with leadership team to achieve staffing objectives by recruiting and filling vacant positions. Maintains local AAP program.
- Conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
- Participate in quarterly communications meetings to provide updates and communications to employees.
- Take on “employee advocate” role in a manner that addresses employee interests and concerns, within the requirements of the business
- Walk the floor daily in order to solicit input, answer questions and provide leadership accessibility.
- Administer Human Resources programs and guidelines in a manner that maintains a fair and equitable working environment.
- Provide employees with a confidential and accessible forum for coaching and mentoring as needed.
- Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
- Manage HR data input and all record keeping
- Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs
- Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
- Plan and execute employee activities that foster meaningful connection to the Company and site (luncheons, celebrations, United Way Campaigns, Open Enrollment & Wellness Activities).
- Create and post communications (table talkers, birthday/anniversary announcements, etc.
Education and Experience:
Associates Degree preferred, BA/BS a plus.
