Junior Accountant

Salary Range: $45,000 - $50,000

Responsibilities include:

• Provide accounting related support to 25 restaurant locations
• Review/post Daily Sales Reports for 25 restaurant locations
• Perform monthly vendor statement reconciliation for 5/8 vendors
• Process payments to multiple municipalities related to Hopdoddy license/permits
• Prep, review, and post weekly/monthly journal entries
• Perform monthly bank reconciliation
• Assist with monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
• Protect company proprietary and confidential information.
• Provides feedback to Assistant Controller and VP, Finance on any discrepancies with the General Ledger and Accounts Payable.
• Assist in annual financial audit preparation
• Assist other positions when needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree required, Accounting/Finance preferred

• 1 – 3 years’ experience in accounting
• Knowledge of general accounting procedures and software.
• Knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedure
• Knowledge of payroll processes and procedures
• Team Player with a sense of humor.
• Experience and industry knowledge within the restaurant or retail is a plus. Multi-unit company experience preferred.
