What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Health Technician/Registered Behavior Technician position at HOPE COMMUNITY RESOURCES, INC?
Hope Community Resources is a non-profit organization providing community supports to hundreds of individuals and families who experience intellectual and developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injury and mental health challenges.
This position works in the Hope Behavioral Health Clinic. This position will be working as both a Registered Behavior Technician, with individuals that experience Autism, under the direction of a Board Certified and Licensed Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Additionally, a BHT/RBT will be working with individuals that experience Mental Health Disorders under the direction of a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
Responsibilities include:
- Implements Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) programs under the supervision of a Licensed Behavior Analyst and therapeutic interventions and techniques under the direction of a Mental Health Clinician. Teaches prescribed skill acquisition programs and strategies.
- Uses applied behavior analysis interventions to teach support recipients skills; including communication, social interaction, problem-solving, daily living etc. Provides interventions that encourage socially acceptable replacement behaviors. Helps facilitate interactions between support recipients and others.
- Tracks and documents support recipient’s behaviors, skills, progress, and interventions and generates graphical data and reports for review and treatment decisions.
- Collaborates with the support recipient’s team to assist in the development and implementation of treatment plans and monitor and evaluate their effectiveness.
If not already credentialed as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), Hope Community Resources will provide all the required training to be able to sit for the RBT certification offered through the Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB).
