HORIBA Semiconductor's proprietary analysis technology is fully demonstrated in a wide range of fields - semiconductors, medicine, environment, science and engine measurements. In high-tech industries like semiconductor manufacturing, HORIBA provides an extensive selection of process monitors for integration into manufacturing lines that aid the safe production of high performance devices.
Our North American Semiconductor group is searching for an R&D Coordinator to develop various correspondence, track engineering progress/cost reports, and various other administrative duties to support R&D initiatives at our Reno Technology Center.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Create and maintain patent tracking system
- Process internal R&D invoices
- Assist with technical trade shows and training coordination
- Interface with R&D team to determine future project spend for budget forecasting
- General R&D Wiki curation (project spaces)
- Assist in creating, tracking and status of engineering service requests
- Create and maintain R&D KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) in JIRA and Confluence
- Coordinate with R&D project managers and directors to track and report monthly project status
- Assist BlackJack Coordinator with R&D related continual improvement projects
- Report R&D project labor hours to Finance (HII)
- Assist with the coordination of Global R&D meetings and document new materials, procedures and best practices for Global R&D Team.
- Assist Global R&D patent team with invention disclosures, patent tracking JIRA page, and correspondence with US patent attorneys and/or paralegals.
- Prepares correspondence, PowerPoints, proposals, and other documents for management.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of administrative duties including computer skills (MS Excel, MS Project, MS Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Internet.
- Atlassian and/or web design experience highly desired). Ability to format documents, presentations, filing. Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills, and attention to detail.
- Minimum of two years’ related experience in a high technology engineering/research environment preferred. Degree in related field preferred (AA, AS, BA, BS).
