We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the success of our construction projects. Our core product is multi-family wood framed apartments and townhomes.  As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate and competitive cost estimates, supporting project acquisition efforts, and ensuring the smooth execution of our construction projects. 

This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the success of our construction projects by providing accurate and competitive cost estimates and supporting project acquisition efforts.  This position requires a keen understanding of construction methods, materials, and labor costs, as well as strong analytical and communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.  Key areas of the position are:

• Cost Estimating
• Bid Preparation
• Cost Analysis and Value Engineering
• Document Management
• Relationship Management

Requirements

Education and Work Experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of residential/commercial construction techniques. 
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
• Prior experience reading blueprints and specification manuals and applying information to the project.
• Proven experience with effective analytical skills and attention to detail.

Technology:  

• Proficiency in construction estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, Planswift, STACK Estimating, Pantera Planroom) and Microsoft Office Suite. 
• Proficient in MS word and Excel. 
• Ability to learn new estimating software such as Stack and Bluebeam.

Required knowledge and skills:

• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at one time.
• Ability to maintain a high degree of precision in detailed work.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally, electronically and in writing, with trade partners and HCG team.
• Ability to build effective relationships and work well in a team environment. 
• Effective analytical skills and attention to detail.

Salary : $65,000 - $100,000
