What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automation Engineer (DeltaV) position at Horizon Controls Group?

The Automation Engineer (DeltaV) will provide project engineering support for the design, development and deployment of critical code updates for an existing DeltaV system within the Life Sciences industry.

  Responsibilities:

·        Provide quality automation support as the DeltaV subject matter expert (SME) for Upstream and Downstream projects.

·        Leverage DeltaV Control System expertise, experience implementing the ISA 88 standard and knowledge of industry-specific best practices to inform the design and development critical code updates to the client’s existing DeltaV Control System.

·        Manage project-related change controls including identification, specification document redlining and drafting, planning, execution and documentation of automation test plans in compliance with GxP and GAMP guidelines.

·        Anticipate, recommend, and champion requirements that serve client’s best interest.

·        Coordinate with stakeholder departments to review, update, and approve plans.

·        Conception, demonstration, and execution of solutions to address requirements and overcome platform and project constraints.   

 




Requirements


·        B.S. degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related work or project experience

·        6 years of experience with PLC Allen Bradley configuration 

·        Firm understanding of ISA 88 (S88 Standard)

·        Experience working in a regulated, GMP manufacturing environment within the Life Sciences industry

·        Familiarity with Data Integrity principles including, but not limited to 21 CFR Part 11.

·        Ability to complete tasks independently with minimal oversight

·        Excellent interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills

·        Demonstrate the character traits of accountability, initiative and transparency in executing job functions.

·        Strong attention to detail

·        Strong ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technological or procedural issues

·        Must have experience successfully interacting and working with customers at multiple levels of responsibility in a manufacturing or production environment.

·        Ability to work hybrid on-site and lso be available to provide on call support outside the standard working hours.
