If you are looking for an exciting career with a well-established Ophthalmology practice, you found it with us. We are looking for an Ophthalmic Tech/Medical Assistant. The ideal candidate will be reliable, professional, able to multi-task, and have a passion for patient care. Some of the job responsibilities include the following:
· Document the chief complaint
· Preform pre-exam testing
· Preform specialized testing
· Complete requests for prescription refills
· Explain the use of medication to the patient
· Scribe for the doctor
· Manage patient flow
· Assist physician as needed
· Open/Close exam lanes daily ensuring equipment is sterilized
Requirements, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
· Travel to other locations is required. Along with working on occasional Saturdays as needed.
· Flexibility with starting and ending times.
· Clear and effective communicator in person, over the phone, and online.
· Eager to learn and utilize new technology. EHR experience a plus.
· Dedicated team player, with great attitude and personality.
· Medical background and/or previous eye care experience helpful.
