What You'll Do:

• Provide personal care services, including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, and changing bed linen
• Assist patients with dressing, undressing, and toileting activities
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist in feeding patients
• Take and record vital signs and report any significant changes to the assigned nurse
• Assist in ambulation, exercise, and range of motion activities
• Perform simple procedures and assist patients in self-administration of medication
• Ensure the safety and well-being of patients
• Adhere to documentation and care procedures according to organizational standards
• Attend in-service training annually
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team in case conferences

What You'll Need:

• Successful completion of a state-approved training and competency evaluation program for CNAs
• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given
• Self-directing with the ability to work with little supervision
• Empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail, and impaired
• Current CPR certification
• Tact, patience, and good personal hygiene
• Valid driver's license and insured automobile
