Description
We are growing and have an opportunity for a summer Intern to support our corporate office and properties.
This position shall support and assist the President of the Management company as well as area properties with leasing and site coverage. This position shall also provide administrative support to the Compliance team, Regional Managers and corporate office as requested.
Administrative support as requested
Assist compliance team as needed
Provide coverage at properties as needed, answer leasing calls, set appointments, provide tours, resident activities, marketing outreach, applications, recertifications, and new move-in orientation
Reply to emails and phone calls received by interested parties for properties in lease up, enter prospects into One-Site and the interest list
Enter and close out maintenance service requests
Assist with coding invoices, as requested
Conduct market surveys and shop comparable communities.
Generate reports from One Site and ensure entry is being done timely and correctly
Assist President with onboarding/offboarding of properties
Requirements
Education, work experience, licenses, and certifications:
Currently pursuing a Property Management, Real Estate or Business Management degree preferred
Prior property management experience helpful
Valid driver’s license with insurance (reliable transportation is required)
Required knowledge and skills:
Ability to perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision
Ability to adhere to established policies related to fair housing.
Ability to interact professionally with other residents, prospective residents, co-workers, and vendors
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to work effectively as a team contributor
Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees.
Ability to communicate clearly and convincingly verbally and in writing
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from residents, co-workers and the general public required.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Ability to set goals and deadlines with clear direction for yourself
Logical problem-solving abilities.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts required.
Computer Applications:
Intermediate skill level on Microsoft Word and Excel programs.
OneSite or other database experience preferred
Other:
Ability to travel to/from Madison, Milwaukee, and Fox Valley for day trips.
