Responsibilities of an Infection Prevention Nurse:
The Infection Prevention Nurse is responsible for preventing healthcare acquired infections by isolating sources of infections and limiting their spread.
- Manage monitoring of healthcare-associated infections and community-associated infections.
- Identify and respond to infection control problems within the organization and manage corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, federal and internal regulations.
- Comply with local, state and federal payroll regulations and manage special requests from regulatory agencies.
- Coordinate and oversee employee training.
Qualifications of an Infection Prevention Nurse:
- Previous experience with infection prevention.
- Registered Nurse license in MA required.
- Strong ability to communicate, written and verbal.
