2/23 - New logo for Horizontal with a hiring manager who I've worked with for many years! Sam Endres (https://www.linkedin.com/in/samantha-endres-cpa-inactive-09601816/) was at Central Logic/ABOUT Healthcare as the CFO and was responsible for us making quite a few Direct Hire placements for our team in 2022 - she's now CFO of Macqueen Equipment and looking to replace their IT Manager. This role will report directly to Sam and she is fantastic!

Top "must haves" for this role:
  • Project coordination/management and ability to standardize - they will be coordinating with Macqueen's 3rd party companies that handles a lot of infrastructure, security and ERP related activities
  • Infrastructure experience - telephony, hardware/software, security systems/cameras, and ideally database configuration / bandwidth knowledge
  • Ability to support a geographically diverse (15 locations) company
They are working towards a hybrid model and would like their IT Manager to be on-site a few days per week at their headquarters - 1125 7th St E, St Paul, MN 55106. There is also a help desk person on this team to help out with daily tasks.

They are hoping to stay around $100-110K since their last IT Manager was at $80K. They can't go above $110-115K.

Job Description:

Job Summary: Responsible for the company’s IT assets and software needs, including ensuring adequate asset protection, inventory, training, and usage

 

Essential Duties:

  • Project manage and coordinate all efforts with our third-party partners (ERP, Infrastructure, and Compliance) to fix bugs, make enhancements and ensure all deliverables are communicated effectively
  • Monitoring daily operations, including hardware, software, and all operating systems.
  • Provide supplemental support for end user trouble tickets
  • Coordinating technology installations, enhancements, upgrades, and maintenance
  • Selecting and purchasing new and replacement hardware and software in alignment with refresh policies
  • Assuring all IT activities are performed within the parameters of applicable laws, codes, and regulations with our third-party IT partner
  • Evaluating technology risks and maintaining IT policies, disaster recovery plan and backup procedures
  • Coordinate with 3rd party insurance providers on cybersecurity evaluation
  • Overseeing the annual IT budget and ensuring efficiency and cost effectiveness
  • Telecommunications technologies/systems company wide, including Branch office infrastructure
  • Lead IT integration for all acquisitions
  • Other duties as assigned

Leadership Competencies:

Technical

  • Expert knowledge of all key operating systems to include VPN/RDP and Microsoft Windows, Office, and Exchange.
  • Proficient in computer hardware, cabling installation and support, wireless technology applications and interface, IT security and secure remote access solutions.
  • Data Integrity - Ensuring the accuracy of all data reported through our Business Intelligence tool (Power BI)

Interpersonal

  • Ability to develop and maintain healthy relationships with Branch and Company staff
  • Ability to think creatively and resolve problems along with strong customer service skills
  • Effectively communicate in various environments and settings through multiple channels

Positional

  • Stay up to date with advances in technology and industry best practices
  • Strong leadership and management skills to supervise employees/teams to identify and execute on a set of goals while maintaining team cohesion
  • Functional understanding of IT Security, Access Controls, Security Auditing, Disaster Recovery Rationale, Multi-Factor Authentication, Endpoint detection and response

Organizational

  • Develop, implement, monitor, and maintain appropriate company security policies governing Information Technology infrastructure, data privacy/security/PCI, and end user compliance. 
  • Understanding of interdivisional relationships and can lead outcomes across entire Division.
  • Accountability for design and implementation of strategies to create organizational awareness.

 


Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

· Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field or 5-7 years’ experience in lieu of education

· Strong organization and project management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks

· Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills

· Experience in managing cross-functional projects and influencing key stakeholders

· Exper ience in managing IT infrastructure and services

· Experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation.

· Flexible working hours

 

Desirable Qualifications:

· IT integration

· Experience with CDK ERP, Microsoft Dynamics CRM and PowerBI is a plus

· Frequently used tools: Business Intelligence Reporting (PowerBI), Sharepoint, Microsoft O365, ERP, CRM, and more

 

ADA Requirements:

· Typically sits, grasp items and performs keyboarding for frequent operation of a computer

· Stand, walk, bend, reach or otherwise move about regularly

· Lift, move, or otherwise transfer items up to 40 lbs occasionally, >20 lbs frequently

· Occasional exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards

· Travel by air or car occasionally to other facilities.
