This position is an entry-level maintenance position.  This maintenance position performs predictive maintenance, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on processing, packaging, and material handling equipment, some of which is controlled by state-of-the art automation.  This equipment ranges in age from new to 35 years. You will determine the root cause of any breakdowns that occur and put corrective actions in place to prevent a reoccurrence.  You will work closely with the Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.  You may serve on a variety of different teams such as Fire Prevention, Safety, Innovation, and Hazardous Materials Response Team, Capital Projects. You will be trained and challenged to learn multiple skills including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, millwright, and sheet metal.

Required:

  1. 2-year Mechanical degree or equivalent military training certification in “Mechanical Field” or;
  2. 2 years, verifiable industrial maintenance experience 
  3. Experience inspecting equipment using preventative and predictive cleaning, and inspection standards in order to detect abnormalities and prevent failures
  4. Ability to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends as business dictates.

Preferred:

  1.  Verifiable 5 years industrial or 2 years active duty military experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment is preferred.

Training: Must be able to train on any shift until released to their assigned shift. 

Work Schedule: 12HR - AM Shift Hours: 6:30p to 7a, except Wednesdays - Rotating weekly below:

One week: Tuesday (12hrs), Wednesday (6hrs), Saturday and Sunday (12hrs) - Guaranteed 42hrs

Next week: Monday (12hrs), Wednesday (6hrs), Thursday and Friday (12hrs) - Guaranteed 42hrs 

Compensation: $26.70 with a .50cents raise at 90 days and 120 days of completion. $1.00 shift differential, when applicable
