PRN Pharmacist

Job Summary:  Hoskinson Health & Wellness Clinic is a dynamic team-based physician-led, comprehensive health and wellness clinic in the beautiful area of Gillette, Wyoming. Our company was created to provide prospective healthcare resources to the community and meet the needs of our patient base. To do this effectively, we encourage a spending more time with patients through a lower daily patient volume. We are seeking a compassionate PRN Pharmacist to permanently join our team of Internists, specialists, and other medical staff. This position will offer a traditional approach  to medicine, as well as DPC and concierge care, prospective care, hyperbaric medicine, and other methods focused on regenerative/ longevity medicine and research. HH&WC offers top-tier technology resources to help achieve these goals and is open to additional resource recommendations pertaining to your specialist field. 

The ideal candidate should have previous expertise working in a pharmacy, with compounding offerings, as well as exceptional patient-service skills. This person must have up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, as well as chemistry and any drug interaction experience.

Responsibilities: 

• Dispense medication – Complete prescription orders issued by prescribing physician. Counsel customers on reactions, side effects, dosage, and proper storage.  Mix, store and make compounded medications per respective directions. Maintain strict procedures to ensure the packaging, mixing, and labeling by following mandated regulations.  
• Offer expert support and guidance –  Provide exceptional customer service and answer all questions around specific issues around common medical needs (i.e. diabetes, asthma, smoking cessation, high blood pressure). Counsel and train patients on proper use of medical devices and supplies. Partner with healthcare professionals to review the quality and effectiveness of drugs, providing advice on usage and observed side effects.
• Manage administrative operations –  Assist pharmacy interns in acquiring licensing. Order and purchase supplies to manage stock and handling. Keep excellent records and files of patient information.

Requirements: 

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree with a professional license
• Proven experience with medical and biological terminology
• Proven experience with compounding
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to balance competing priorities
