Make a difference in someone's life by becoming a volunteer with us! As a valued member of our team, you'll bring comfort and companionship to those in need. All Hospice of the IE and OC volunteers go through a training course to prepare them for working with patients and families. Our volunteer services consist of three main categories: patient and family support services, office staff support, and bereavement services.

Your role includes:

  • Companionship: Emotional Support, Prayer, Reading.
  • Card Games: Engage in enjoyable card games.
  • Respite Support: Provide relief for primary caregivers.
  • Running Errands: Assist with necessary tasks outside the home.
  • Light Housekeeping: Help maintain a clean and comfortable environment.
  • Meal Preparation: Contribute to nutritious and delicious meals.
  • Laundry Assistance: Support with laundry tasks.
  • Art: Create art with the patient at bedside.
  • Music: Play music, sing or play your instrument.
  • Life Review/History: Take part in hearing about their life.
  • Deliver Supplies: Deliver supplies to patients.

This is a Volunteer position and is not paid.
