What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Hospice of Washington County?
The Maintenance Technician works under the general direction of the Facilities Manager/AVP, Compliance and provides general maintenance services in and around Doey’s House and other Hospice of Washington County facilities; troubleshoots, performs minor repairs and responds to emergency calls for service during working hours and after hours when on-call; works with staff to meet the custodial/maintenance needs of each area; and resolves problems to ensure efficient and safe operations for patients, visitors, and staff, and in compliance with regulatory requirements, including OSHA, JC, and any building code requirements. May coordinate work with outside vendors with scheduled appropriate service.
Requirements include High School Diploma/GED and minimum 3 years comparable experience. Experience with healthcare facility is preferred, to include experience with buildings and facilities with regulatory requirements. Must have strong customer service skills, to include working with the general public. Must complete the occupational health requirements, to include flu vaccination and COVID-19 vaccination in accordance with policy.
