We have an immediate need for a full time Site Manager position. We offer a competitive hourly rate, full benefits, 401K match and paid time off.

 

The Site Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the Hospice Source site location that services, delivers and retrieves durable medical equipment. The Site Manager ensures that all operations run smoothly and efficiently and that the needs of our hospice partners, patients and families are met while embracing and demonstrating our values of compassionate care, operational excellence, teamwork and accountability.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Recruits, hires, orients, trains, coaches and manages the performance of warehouse and delivery technician staff in accordance with company policy and procedure outlines while embracing Hospice Source’s values of: compassionate care, operational excellence, teamwork and accountability.
  • Establishes operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
  • Ensures the cleanliness and condition of medical equipment and supplies meet company standards and the needs of patients and hospice partners.
  • Maintains, organizes, and ensures that delivery vehicles are operational, receive necessary and routine maintenance, are clean and meet regulatory standards.
  • Oversees inventory counts, recovery procedures of all lost and damaged equipment, equipment marking and tagging procedures, and the verification of equipment for proper working condition and sanitization.
  • Participates in planning personnel safety and site protection activities.
  • Collaborates with corporate support staff such as fleet, sales, purchasing, dispatch and call center personnel as required to meet service needs of patients.
  • Ensures delivery vehicles are stocked with appropriate supplies, safety, and personal protective and cleaning equipment.
  • Ensures delivery ticket/information is complete and accurately documented for tracking, billing, and inventory purposes.
  • Ensures service targets are met by effectively scheduling, supervising and participating as needed in delivery activities which occur during business and after-hour time periods, including achieving all time constraints and contract service levels.
  • Organizes on-going staff meetings, training activities and continuing education on equipment, new procedures and processes.
  • Addresses and resolves non-routine and escalated service related issues and challenges from hospice partners, patients and families to ensure relationships and service integrity are maintained.
  • Takes steps to ensure adequate inventory levels to include purchasing, pricing, stocking, ordering, and processing of utilized equipment and supplies.
  • Ensures company records, files, and all documentation are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
  • Performs necessary equipment maintenance and keeps record of said maintenance.
  • Maintains and builds relationships with the local market by attending and conducting in-service trainings, workshops and meetings, as necessary, and proactively communicating to ensure open channels of feedback.
  • Listens to and resolves service complaints.
  • Maintains proper records to comply with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications


 

Education & Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; or 2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1 year of supervisory or management experience.
  • Healthcare background a plus.
  • Durable medical equipment (DME) experience a plus.
  • Logistics and warehouse experience a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondences, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Computer/Technology Skills: Knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, email, Microsoft Teams and order management/fulfillment/inventory management software and best practices.
  • Certifications/Licenses: Must possess a valid driver’s license with no serious driving infractions in the previous seven years (i.e. DUI, DWI, multiple high-speed citations, etc.).

Work Environment, Physical Requirements/Demands:

  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate unplanned events and participate in an on-call rotation is essential.
  • Assist with delivery and warehouse demands as needed.
  • Ability to lift and carry durable medical equipment that weighs up to 100 lbs.
  • Stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions.
