Responsible to the Director of Finance for the timely submission and collection of part B medical claims and physician visits to insurance companies and payers such as Medicare and Medicaid. Certifies HospiceCare with new insurance companies and maintaining that certification. Work closely with the Palliative Care Department in obtaining pre-authorizations, checking eligibilities and benefit verification. Performs other related duties as required.
Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent with 3 years of related part b billing experience is required. Computer experience with automated systems is required. Experience with relevant computer software is required. General knowledge of accounting beneficial.
