Trust and Estate Planning Associate (Elder Law)

We are a dynamic full-service legal firm seeking a specialty attorney to join us at our North Shore Long Island headquarters. Established over 20 years ago, we've grown to 100 attorneys.

An ideal candidate will be personable and able to build rapport with clients and prospective clients while working collaboratively with senior management and colleagues across departments. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with clients, providing legal advice and representation in matters related to elder law, including but not limited to estate planning, long-term care planning, Medicaid planning, guardianship, and probate.

Responsibilities:

· Conduct legal research and analysis on elder law issues.

· Draft legal documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.

· Assist clients in Medicaid planning and eligibility.

· Represent clients in guardianship proceedings.

· Handle probate and estate administration matters.

· Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and third parties involved in cases.

Qualifications:

· Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

· Admission to the New York State Bar and in good standing.

· 5 years of experience in elder law or related practice areas.

· Portable book of business a plus

· Strong knowledge of elder law principles and regulations.

· Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

· Compassionate and client-focused approach to legal practice.

Salary: $125,000 - $175,000
