Position Summary: Management responsibility for the overall success of the hotel, meeting or exceeding planned objectives for revenue and profit, and ensuring guest satisfaction and product quality standards are met. Manages areas of the hotel in accordance with company standards to achieve a friendly atmosphere of superior guest service and product quality. Provides exemplary performance for staff to follow.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains guest service as the driving philosophy of the hotel
- Personally demonstrates a commitment to guest service by responding to guests’ needs
- Ensures all employees are aware of company policies and procedures
- Monitors performance and systems
- Participates in all aspects of the Manager on Duty (MOD)
- Assist with the operation of all departments within the hotel
- Assists departmental leaders problem solve hurdles and deficiencies
- Helps to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals
- Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of business to ensure smooth progress
- Supervise staff from different departments and provide constructive feedback
- Evaluate regularly the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements
- Manage procurement processes and coordinate material and resources allocation
- Oversee customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction
- Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability
- Revise and/or formulate policies and promote their implementation
- Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors
- Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
- Ensure that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulations
- Participates in employee evaluations and improvement
- Demonstrates a “See it, Own it, Solve it” culture
- Maintains facility safety documentation and acts as the point of contact for building repairs
- Ensures compliance with Brand, governmental, and other external agencies.
- Coordinates Intercontinental Hotels Group and other trainings for the hotel staff
- Maintain complete knowledge of the hotel's inner workings, including room rates, rooms operations, hotel policies, availability, and profitability strategies
- Responsible for the overall appearance of the hotel
- Makes operational improvement recommendations for the hotel to run more efficiently
- Oversees Housekeeping & Maintenance Departments to ensure quality of rooms are consistently met
- Follow all company policies
- Acts in accordance with Hotel Indigo Core Values and Mission Statement
- Performs other duties as assigned by the General Manager
Qualifications:
- Hospitality background preferred
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Drive/GSuite and hotel software.
- Works well with management, peers and team members.
- Strong interpersonal, problem resolution and management skills.
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
