Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to recipes and quality standards
- Decorate pastries and cakes with precision and attention to detail
- Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment and tools
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new pastry recipes and menu items
- Assist with catering orders and special events as needed
- Package finished products for display or delivery
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a pastry or bakery setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, including baking, decorating, and plating
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely production of pastries
- Ability to work well in a team environment and take direction from supervisors
- Culinary degree or certification is a plus, but not required
