Role Description:
The Talent Specialist will research, develop, and implement effective talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain a diverse pool of qualified talent for the Hotel Rehabs team. This is a hybrid position based in Chicago, IL.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Recruitment Process Management: Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, selecting, and onboarding qualified candidates.
- Talent Pipeline Development: Proactively build and maintain a robust talent pipeline for roles, utilizing talent sourcing techniques, networking, and relationship-building with universities, industry organizations, and professional networks.
- Candidate Engagement: Employ innovative strategies to engage with potential candidates through various channels, such as social media, job boards, networking events, and employee referrals.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand talent needs, align recruitment strategies, and provide insights on market trends and competitive positioning. Lead and support activities aimed at developing internal team members’ expertise in recruitment practices.
- HR Software: Manages and maintains all recruitment software and systems including, but not limited to, Applicant Tracking System (ATS), LinkedIn, and Indeed.
- Candidate Experience: Ensure a positive and seamless candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, demonstrating our commitment to exceptional candidate care.
- Employer Brand Ambassador: Craft compelling brand messages and value propositions that resonate with potential candidates, highlighting our company's culture, values, benefits, and career growth opportunities.
- General Human Resources: Partners with other HR Functions to assist with the completion of projects, as needed.

- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices in hiring and recruitment
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems. JazzHR and Gusto familiarity is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated knowledge of various recruiting techniques and experience in online/social media recruiting.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Prior experience managing an Applicant Tracking System or Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
Preferences:
- AEC experience
- 5 years of managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process
- Experience in JazzHR and Gusto
