What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Agent position at Hotel Rock Lititz?
Job Overview: Assists with the overall guest experience start to finish including but not limited to guest registration, pantry/market, business center, telephone services, and guest reservations to deliver a guest experience that is unique and brings the brand to life.
Front Desk Essential Tasks:
- Act in accordance to As One Values and Mission and brand performance standards.
- Enthusiastically greet guests upon arrival.
- Register and assign rooms to guests promptly and efficiently.
- Ensure safety measures are followed at all times.
- Date-stamp, sort, and rack incoming mail and messages.
- Transmit and receive messages using all communication avenues.
- Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
- Communicate effectively with guests and resolve complaints swiftly and effectively.
- Help hotels meet revenue goals
- Compute bills, collect payment, and make change for guests.
- Make, confirm, and cancel reservations via all communication avenues.
- Accurately post charges such as room, food, liquor, or telephone to guest bill.
- Make reservations, transportation, or entertainment reservations for guests.
- Deposit guest valuables in the hotel safe deposit box as requested and appropriate.
- Log and conduct wake-up calls timely and pleasantly.
- Ability to focus on the guest, ensuring complete satisfaction with each transaction and interaction.
- Ability to accurately use various office software.
- Adhere to all safety policies and training as required by As One and Brand.
- Complete and follow all training as assigned.
- Ensure hotel safety protocols are followed for the guests and staff protection, especially around privacy.
- Assist with keeping the public spaces clean and appealing including but not limited to; trash removal, dusting, maintaining market/pantry stocking and rotation of supplies, and clean lobby appearance (mop/vac as needed)
- Act as Manager on Duty for guests when problems arise outside of hours where senior management is on-site and do so with logical decisions in accordance to your training to benefit guests/company.
- Ability to willingly perform other customer service and guest-related functions as required.
Your Background and Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of related work experience.
- CPR/First Aid Certification, RAMP Server Seller Certification preferred

Work Environment and Context
- Work schedule varies and may include working all shifts, holidays and weekends.
- Requires standing for extended periods of time, the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, bending, reaching, stooping, manual dexterity, kneeling or crouching.
