ABOUT THE POSITION
The key role of our Guest Service Associate is to create a memorable experience for each guest. This position requires great care and attention to detail with each guest interaction from arrival to departure. This position demonstrates exceptional customer service skills and communication while reporting to the Front Office Manager. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Ability to establish a connection and build positive relationships with guests and colleagues.
- To ensure in any way possible that our guests are having an enjoyable and memorable stay.
- Check in and out hotel guests in a confident, professional and friendly manner.
- Strong ability to prioritize all incoming telephone calls, emails, and various inquiries.
- Works closely with housekeeping and engineering departments to keep room status reports up to date and coordinates requests for maintenance and repair work.
- Knows room locations, types of available rooms, room rates, as well as the amenities and services offered within the hotel.
- Thoroughly understands and adheres to proper credit, check- cashing, and cash handling policies and procedures.
- Performs cashiering tasks like bill / invoice settlement and posting charges to the guest.
- Possesses a working knowledge of the reservations processes. Takes same day reservations and future reservations. Knows cancellation procedures.
- Provides Concierge services with knowledge of immediate area, services, attractions, and events.
- Completes all items on appropriate checklist by end of shift.
- Performs additional duties, as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 1 year of guest facing hotel experience required
- Opera PMS experience preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to think clearly, quickly, and make concise decisions
- Must be flexible to work various shifts, including weekends & holidays
- Strong ability to read, write, comprehend, and understand English
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $26.52 per hour
