Rooms Division Manager
This Rooms Division Manager will be a senior role responsible for execution of room operations at the hotel and reports to the General Manager.
The RDM job is a balance of active operations management and administrative work. The ideal candidate will support the General Manager in ensuring the hotel runs smoothly, equitably, and profitably. They need to be creative, entrepreneurial, aesthetically inclined, and up for anything – a jack or jill of all trades.
JOB DUTIES
- MANAGEMENT
- Oversee the Front Desk, Housekeeping and Maintenance Departments. Work closely with Sales/Events and People & Culture teams
- Maintain effective communications between all hotel departments
- OPERATIONS
- “Boots on the ground” assistance to the General Manager in day-to-day operations. Be able to fully run the hotel in their absence
- Handle special projects with enthusiasm and aplomb
- Ensure full compliance with hotel SOPs, policies, procedures and service standards.
- Develop new policies and continuously improve and refine systems
- OTA reconciliation
- Ensure property and grounds are maintained to aesthetic standard
- Act as concierge, bellman, housekeeper and problem solver as needed
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner. Stay visible and interface with customers on a regular basis
- Liaise with front desk to be aware on a daily basis of any guest and VIP requests, complaints and significant events that require attention
- Ensure that all guest problems and complaints are addressed with exemplary service recovery and urgency
- Act as an ambassador to the hotel and ensure that we are delivering an excellent guest experience

- Graphic design knowledge a plus
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that will include weekends and holidays
- Must have a passion for creating exceptional experience for all guests & staff
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly

- Excellent verbal, communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hospitality management, with a focus on rooms division operations
- Proven track record in revenue management and budgeting within the hotel industry
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a diverse team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in computer systems and hotel management software
- Multilingual or bilingual proficiency is a plus
- Familiarity with front desk operations, guest services, and night audit procedures
COMPENSATION DETAILS
- Annual salary range of $70,000 to $75,000 paid weekly
