Consumer, Food & Retail Group; Food & Beverage Team Houlihan Lokey’s Consumer, Food & Retail (CFR) Group is the No. 1 Consumer M&A team globally (according to data from Refinitiv), guiding companies on their M&A, restructuring and financial advisory matters, and assists in raising debt and equity capital. In 2021, Houlihan Lokey's global CFR team completed 85 deals. Houlihan Lokey’s Food & Beverage team executes a broad array of transaction types, predominantly sell-side M&A, buy-side M&A, and private capital markets transactions. Job Responsibilities Associates in the CFR Group support new business development and investment banking engagements. Associates work on a variety of transactions that provide exposure to various investment banking services, including mergers and acquisitions, private placements of debt and equity, refinancings, and leveraged buyouts. You will: Prepare, analyze and help explain historical and projected financial information; Coordinate and perform business due diligence and execute M&A transactions; Prepare confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing pitches, and other presentations; Oversee the creation of company valuation analyses and other quantitative analyses; Assist in the marketing and planning of engagements; and Build relationships and maintain direct contact with clients, prospective clients, and professional advisors. Basic Qualifications 3-4 years of investment banking / M&A experience, including at least 1 years as an associate, or relevant experience prior to an MBA together with at least 1 year of post-MBA investment banking experience. Preferred Qualifications Highly detail-oriented with the ability to appreciate the big picture Strong organizational skills Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to manage multiple projects / competing priorities in parallel The ability to focus on best practices in terms of process, communication, and financial analysis Excellent grasp of accounting concepts Extensive experience with financial modeling Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills Ability to conduct thorough, independent research Proficiency in developing junior bankers and an orientation towards teaching / developing Salary Range Houlihan Lokey is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive total compensation package, which may include other components such as discretionary incentive compensation. The firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible salary range for this role at the time of posting is: $175,000.00-$225,000.00 Actual salary at the time of hire may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant qualifications, skills, and experience and the location where this position may be filled.
