What are the responsibilities and job description for the Monitor position at Hour House?

Hour House provides treatment services for men and women with Substance Use Disorders in 4 residential locations, three in Charleston and one in Lerna. We are hiring monitors to work from 4 pm to midnight. This position requires that staff be awake throughout the shift. Preference will be given to those that have experience working in social services or are working towards a degree in a related field.
Monitors ensure the safety of the clients and facility, provide emotional support to clients, enforce program structure, perform housekeeping tasks, transport clients to work in agency vehicles, assist in the admission of people seeking help, and complete documentation regarding the clients in an electronic medical record. Dependability in attendance is very important.
