General Purpose
The Titling Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of vehicle titles by verifying title information is correct, maintaining knowledge of current laws regarding vehicle titles, and interacting with customers and regulatory agencies to resolve title issues.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Work with an established sales team to effectively process titles for auto loans.
- Gather the necessary documents from customers to complete title packages.
- Review documents to cross-check for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with various state requirements.
- Provide excellent customer service by providing prompt, informed, professional, and accurate service and support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer concerns in a timely, friendly, and accurate manner.
- Consistently meet department quality, service, and production standards that promote customer satisfaction and company growth.
- Manage specific service level agreements to meet business timelines.
- Ability to learn titling in multiple states with effective training.
- Maintain knowledge of current DMV laws and regulations as they relate to vehicle titles and interpret titling regulations for assigned states. Ensure appropriate records are maintained and required reports are prepared.
- Maintain an up-to-date and accurate filing system.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.

- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate via phone and email.

- Outstanding customer service and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given prescribed routines, and best practices.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize and adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities. Required to manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to cross-check material for completeness and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Understanding of customer-sensitive information protection protocols.
Education or Formal Training:
- High school diploma or GED. Associates degree preferred.
Experience:
- 2 years of previous document gathering, loan processing or equivalent administrative experience.
Working Environment/Physical Activities
Office environment. Must be able to work extended hours as the business dictates including evenings and Saturdays. The job routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, copiers, fax machines and filing cabinets. The position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and open filing cabinets.
