Location: Ankeny, IA
PRIMARY PURPOSE: Responsible for the renting of new and used equipment along with selling attachments, meeting customer's needs, growing the market share, maintaining acceptable levels of gross profit and rental volumes, and performing other general sales department duties as directed by the Sales Manager.

FOCUS:
Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing customers to enhance the potential to rent new and used equipment.
Increase customer loyalty, market awareness and market share.
Track the location, and coordinate movement of machines for rental and sales needs.
Formulate rental quotes based on customer needs.
Record and close orders.
Manage and improve rental strategies that include individual account plans to meet or exceed company targets for units, dollars and gross profits.
Follow the processes in place to better manage clean up and damage invoicing to customers.
Manage and control rental related expenses to assure proper margins and expense control.
Provide goals and objectives status report to Sales Manager.
Assist in rental collections when needed.
Attend training and sales/rental meetings as required to stay current with new equipment.
Offers services to all walk-in and call-in customers.
Record data pertaining to customer calls and customer profiles into Salesforce.
Deliver and Pick up machinery when needed.
Assist with machine delivery orientation.
Assist with trade shows.
Maintain a professional image at all times.
Expected to follow the Company's safety rules and safety policies.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Previous rental management experience a plus.
2-3 years of previous work experience in a heavy duty construction career is highly preferred.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent customer service experience and strong communication skills.
Exceptional verbal and written communication.
Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
Strong computer skills.
Class A CDL or ability to attain a Class A CDL.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Oral communication over the phone and in person.
Ability to view computer monitor.
Alpha/numeric keyboarding.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment for this position is varied due to the differences in our work site.
Noise level is usually moderate to very loud.
Some weekend and evening hours may be required.
