Shipping & Parts Coordinator

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Housby is looking for a Shipping & Parts Coordinator to join our Used Parts team! This position is primarily responsible for overseeing all shipping and receiving functions in relation to used parts inventory, along with completing preparation and presentation of inventory posted to our websites, while also providing oversight for lot organization of stocked inventory. FOCUS:

• Essential duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned
• Assist with overseeing inventory at our Des Moines location with a goal of one-hour pick and package time following each sale.
• Establish a used parts routine in order to ensure that inventory is stocked with units and are ready for shipping and delivery.
• Prepare parts for sale to include pressure washing, painting, and photographing items.
• Ensure that all components are ready for day-of-purchase shipping, including painting, palletizing, packaging, and tagging for LTL shipment.
• Organize all used parts inventory in the back lot and shop area.
• Properly dispose of any fluids.
• Assist with shop housekeeping needs as time allows.
• Participate in job-related training and development.
• Must follow the company’s safety rules and policies.
• Maintain a professional image at all times.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Possess a strong attention to detail.
• Excellent organization skills and the ability to maintain an orderly work environment.
• Ability to be a team player in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Capable of operating a forklift safely.
• General computer skills.

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or GED required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Safety glasses and safety shoes are required at all times.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Significant standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing, and pulling.
• Alpha/numeric keyboarding.
• Ability to view a computer monitor.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• The work environment for this position is varied due to the differences in our work site. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical, vibrations, fumes or airborne particles, toxic and outside weather conditions.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to very loud.
• Works indoors and out. Exposed to outside weather.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
