House of Hope (HOH) is seeking a coordinator to manage the daily operations of the residential women’s and children’s programs at House of Hope. We are seeking an experienced, proactive leader to ensure safe, effective functioning of the non-clinical aspects of residential services. Works closely with Director of Operations, Recovery Support Supervisor, House Managers, and others to ensure that 44 residential family’s needs are met efficiently and appropriately, especially after treatment hours and weekends. This is a rewarding position for a natural leader who is proficient in managing systems but also enjoys working with people individually and in small groups.

This critical, full time (40 hours per week) position is located at the main HOH treatment center, which is nestled between downtown Salt Lake City and the University of Utah. They will travel daily between all HOH facilities (within a ½-mile radius); when agency vehicles are unavailable, employee’s personal vehicle will be utilized for work purposes (mileage reimbursement for all work-related uses of personal vehicle).

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that weekly schedules are appropriate and followed, that high standards of care are met and that problems are solved in a timely, efficient manner considering the particular needs of each family in the treatment community
  • Directly supervise food services staff, client services specialist, client services aids, and transporters; works closely with and helps train house managers and case managers
  • Adept at implementing programs, protocols and policies and ensuring their appropriate implementation
  • Must also be comfortable working with diverse populations, be professional, flexible and able to manage stressful situations
  • Other duties include: providing behavior management groups for women, planning holiday/special activities, managing self-sufficiency projects and client duties, advocating for diverse client needs, educating clinical teams on community resources and representing House of Hope in the community

Qualifications, Experience, and Skillset:

  • Due to licensing regulations and supervision requirements, this position is open to FEMALE applicants only
  • Bachelor’s degree and or SUDC license preferred OR comparable experience, 5 years in program management or related
  • Has a talent for organization and order; efficient and creative task manager
  • Can work under stressful deadlines, multi-task, and stay calm during crises
  • Able to communicate effectively in person and in writing
  • Is interested in learning more about non-profit organizations, treatment programs and women’s issues,
  • Willing to share rotational on-call duties which may include covering shifts in emergencies or helping the treatment community handle difficult or traumatic events with therapists’ supervision
  • Most importantly, has a passion for working on a collaborative team to help women and children in need

Agency Requirements for All Employees:

  • Non-smoking work site
  • 21 years old
  • Background check and drug test required
  • If in recovery, have at least 2 years of sobriety
  • Personal, reliable transportation and Utah driver’s license/good driving record required

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree AND SSW or SUDC license or Bachelor’s degree and willingness to work toward licensure while working at HOH

Hours/Schedule:

  • Fulltime, 40 hours/week
  • General schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 7:00pm (somewhat flexible); rotational on call with extra compensation; may require occasional evenings or weekends for emergencies or to address shift problems

Wages/Benefits:

$50K-$60k, depending on education and experience, plus a fulltime benefits package that includes:
