A Serviceperson is one of the most important people in the growth and production of poultry.  The Serviceperson is to inform growers and farm foremen of company policies and programs and to advise them on proper production of a healthy bird.  Growers have to be informed of the company's environmental, safety, and ethical practices and the importance of Animal Welfare and bio security measures.  Advise grower or manager of management practices to help achieve the best production of a healthy bird as possible.  Serviceperson keep grower or manager informed of their placement and moving dates for the flock. Periodically servicepersons will have to weigh birds and monitor the feeding of birds.  All growers will have farm supplies and the serviceperson will make sure the supplies are being used properly. Serviceperson will keep up with production records and will turn them in as needed.  Communication with the grower will be done on a weekly basis.  Weekly reporting of mortality will be turned in to accounting department.  Farms will be toured by serviceperson to inspect facilities and equipment for adequacy, sanitation, and for and efficiency of the operation.  Growers will be informed of new procedures, techniques, government regulations and company and association production standards to enable them to upgrade farms and meet requirements. 

Servicepersons examines chickens for evidence of disease and growth rate to determine the effectiveness of medication and feeding programs.
