Private Family is Hiring a Nanny in Montclair
The Ideal Candidate: Full-time salary will cover up to 40 hours per week, while usually working 30 hours or less, so flexibility is expected. There will be *optional* opportunities for additional pay: potential weekend hours, overnights, or hours surpassing 40. We make the schedule in advance, and it will change a bit week-to-week, but will typically be between 2 PM - 7 PM. Normal days include collecting one from the bus stop, picking one up from school, and transporting them to after-school activities or play-dates. Currently the kids are in summer camps. When they're home, we try to limit screen time and instead draw, or play outside or with legos, etc. In the evenings we shower, then read books together before bed, with lights out promptly at 8.

What Works Best for Family: Someone with a calm, nurturing demeanor that loves to get creative and playful. Both boys have ADHD and require extra attention and energy. Nanny should have prior experience with a similar children. Someone who exercises firm but gentle authority and wants to listen to the children and make them feel heard. Behavior correction should be geared toward helping the children understand what is expected of them. The candidate should be very flexible with scheduling. They should be neat and enjoy tidying and keeping things organized. As an important and valued presence in our household, our nanny would ideally have some instincts about the intimacy of some family moments being shared just between family. Due to sensitivities, we ask that you not wear perfumes or heavily scented lotions.

Position Responsibilities
- Childcare: 2 Children, Ages 4 and 6
- Work Days: Mon - Fri
- Work Hours: 2:30 PM - 7 PM with occasional mornings from 7:15 AM - 9 AM
- Pay: $30-35/hr
- Housekeeping: Light Housekeeping Preferred
- Cooking: Help Start/Prep for Dinner, Plain Cooking
- Laundry: Children Laundry Only
- Driving: Required
- Additional Benefits: 3 Weeks PTO (to be taken when family is out of town), 3 sick days, and Major Holidays
- Experience: 5 Years of Experience
- References: Minimum of 2 References
- Background: Pass stringent background checks and drug testing upon offer of hire
