Compensation Range: LMSW- $80,000 / LCSW- $85,000 annually
Overview:
Housing Works is seeking an experienced Social Work Clinical Supervisor to provide oversite and guidance to Behavioral Health Social Work Hotel teams and onsite support to participants at an innovative program for street homeless individuals that features a co-located drop-in center and stabilization shelter, as well as at our MOCJ Transitional and other shelter/hotel settings in which BH Social Workers are staffed. Functioning as part of an interdisciplinary team of medical and case management professionals, this position will be in regular communication with program staff to ensure that residents are met during their stay, whether in the drop-in or at the shelter. All staff receive Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Housing Works trains all employees in effective infection control practices. The Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for the clinical supervision of behavioral health services within the programs. The Clinical Supervisor will play a collaborative role within the program and will be responsible for providing and implementing Evidence-Based, Outcome-based interventions. The Clinical Supervisor will hold a caseload to address acute mental health/substance use needs of residents and engage in crisis management. The Clinical Supervisor is the program’s lead clinician and oversees the supervision of program clinical staff, supports program development and reports to the Director of Psychotherapy Initiatives who provides administrative and clinical support to program. The Clinical Supervisor may also perform other duties in support of the agency's quality assurance process.
Responsibilities:
- Provides weekly supervision to program staff
- Reviews prompt and accurate documentation and track client engagement patterns.
- Reviews and approves timesheets for program staff Organizes, leads and/or participate in case conferences between providers and other programs
- Maintain an active caseload of clients engaged in behavioral health services.
- Participates in programmatic meetings and trainings
- Remains aware ofall clinical documentationpolicies thatensure comprehensive client care to meet the regulatory agencies’ guidelines.
- Provide Clinical direction and leadership to the program; help troubleshoot, problem solve, and strategize solutions around client engagement and challenging behaviors
- Promote a staff and client culture that emphasizes increased engagement, community connection and client readiness for housing placement.
- Utilize Psycho-education and Evidence Based approaches (i.e. Problem Solving Treatment; Behavior Activation Treatment; and Motivational Interviewing) to support patients in goal attainment
- Manages the communication with and between team members to support treatment decision making and/or facilitate changes in treatment recommendations or to support referral of clients to higher levels of care and/or other mental health services; as appropriate.
- Provide support and guidance to front line staff in managing difficult situations and successfully de-escalating conflict
- Support Client and Interdisciplinary team with Housing process as needed.
- Engage clients through program activities in the Drop-In (ex. Group sessions)
- Communicates and routinely coordinates with the Interdisciplinary team.
- Participates in weekly case conferences to advance the on-going coordination of clients’ care.
- Conducts and/or promotes diagnostic consultations between the PCP and the
- Consulting Psychiatrist on difficult to manage cases or cases where patients are not improving.
- Provides Self-Management support/ option to clients who decline coordinated care services but are willing to engage in supported self-management goals following a harm reduction model.
- Generates timely, accurate, and content substantive progress notes with treatment goals and interventions that are congruent with the clients’ diagnosis and consistent with the scope of practice.
- Partakes of one-hour weekly supervision.
- Makes themselves available for on-going training and/or certifications as per requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work-Licensed as an LCSW in New York State or LMSW with contingency to obtain LCSW within 6 months of employment.
Salary : $80,000 - $85,000
