COMPANY BACKGROUND
The Houston Dynamo Football Club (HDFC) is a multi-faceted organization dedicated to inspiring and supporting soccer participation and growth in Houston, TX and beyond. The Club’s brands include men's and women's professional teams - the Houston Dynamo (MLS) and Houston Dash (NWSL), a development academy, Houston Dynamo Dash Charities, as well as Shell Energy Stadium and Houston Sports Park. The Club has a rich history, including MLS Cup titles (2006, 2007) and in-season tournament championships for both the Dynamo (2018) and Dash (2020) and is focused on building toward the next championships, inspiring and uniting the city of Houston through the sport of soccer and community outreach, and creating the most inclusive sporting experience and diverse fan base in the city and state.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
This role will help determine pricing strategies, monitor, and price inventory, and assist in all aspects of revenue management including analytics, reporting, new opportunity identification, and strategic development.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyzes sales trends and consumer buying patterns, across primary and secondary markets, to gauge demand and determine optimal pricing based on business objectives.
- Executes statistical analysis of historical data, current sales and market trends, and economic conditions to inform pricing decisions and inventory management.
- Reviews existing price options, price mix, capacities, and make informed recommendations on pricing, along with bundles and promotions while adhering to company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Assists in setting ticket prices throughout the season by monitoring secondary ticket marketplaces and building pricing recommendation models.
- Creates comprehensive visualizations and dashboards to enable clear visibility into business performance.
- Regular and ad-hoc reporting as required, in addition to analysis.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Administration, or related.
- Experience with a programming language (preferably Python or R) - Preferred
- Demonstrated success using statistical, quantitative modeling, and forecasting methods.
- Experience in building and maintaining dashboards and familiarity with visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong organizational skills with demonstrated track record of meeting deadlines and effective time management.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and manage multiple tasks within a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Power Point, Word - Required
