What are the responsibilities and job description for the Game Technician - Arcade and Redemption position at Houston Interactive Aquarium & Animal Preserve, LLC.?
Primary responsibility will be to troubleshoot and repair various amusement attractions within our facility including, but not limited to: Video, Skill, Redemption, Amusement, Ticketless Systems (Card Swipe), Point of Sale and Computer Networks.
> Understand the safe and proper use of power/hand tools, DMM, soldering equipment.
> Able to read and understand wiring diagrams.
> Proficient in the use of computers and associated hardware.
> Promptly perform required preventive maintenance of games, card readers and equipment.
> Experience in component level circuit board repair and troubleshooting preferred.
> Basic knowledge of data networks and debit/game-card card system infrastructure
> Have the ability to learn and perform methods of diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing or modifying mechanical, electrical or other equipment components that has deviated from proper functions.
> Maintain business established accounting and payout ratios on select categories of games and equipment.
> Execute reports and logs summarizing business performance on a scheduled basis.
> Maintain required logs for State or local authorities as necessary.
> Maintain inventory of supplies, parts, merchandise and all other assigned business resources.
> Complete requested work order repairs and requests.
> Maintain a clean and organized work environment and keep all tools and equipment out of reach of facility guests. Keep games cleaned and presentable for guests.
> Support the front-end operations of the business and learn the best practices of guest service standards, arcade sales transactions, and other business standards.
> Minimum 1 years experience in Game Tech.
> Maintain, order supplies, restock and manage COGS for redemption counter/center
> Must be able to provide 2 references of prior arcade experience.
> Flexible Schedule: Should be open to extra hours, time off, and a rapid pace. (Subject to change based on business need.)
> Must, with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach

- 10 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
