About the Opportunity

Houston Weight Loss Center is looking for an NP to join our experienced team of high energy, talented professionals. Houston Weight Loss Center has been in business for over 26 years, and is a well-established business specializing in medical weight loss.

We are seeking a licensed NP for Houston Weight Loss Center. We are looking for a self-motivated, detailed oriented and reliable professional to become part of our team. Our patients are our number one priority for our practice. This position requires a positive attitude, a friendly demeanor, and a caring mindset.

Position Responsibilities

• Perform weight loss consultations, assessments, screenings
• Order and review lab results with patients to provide tailored treatment options and recommendations based upon diagnosis
• Prescribing medications when appropriate
• Educate patients on medication and continuous weight loss treatment plans
• Daily reconciliations of prescribed treatment plans
• Provide feedback to physician/medical director regarding operations to drive continuous improvement for the patient experience
• Provide outstanding service and care to patients who are seeking treatment for weight loss
• Serve as the resource patients need for ongoing care information, counseling and providing guidance for patients
• Implement best practices and new areas of training as needed
• Willingness to work collaboratively and demonstrate effective teamwork
• Remains HIPAA compliant and represents the company in a unified fashion
• Document vital information and measurements promptly and accurately
• Update patient medical chart and electronic medical records
• Communicates promptly and professionally to physician, staff or patients at all times.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient medical information in all methods of communication in accordance with our policy and with all applicable laws.

Pre-employment Screening All candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment drug screen and a pre-employment national background check. We are a smoke free building and office.

Hours

• Monday - Thursday 9am-6pm
• Friday 8am-2pm

Minimum Requirements

• Current NP licensure in state of Texas to include prescription authority or the ability to obtain prescriptive authority.
• Eligible to be granted limited prescriptive authority by the State of Texas.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate

Pay: From $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
