As we continue to manufacture industrial fans for critical industries such as defense, mining, and infrastructure, we are now searching for a Military Contract Packager/Crate Builder. Under minimal supervision, the I Military Contract Packager/Crate Builder is responsible Responsible for the accuracy and control of reviewing contracts to assure the correct packaging methods are incorporated with the unit being processed. Complete the input into the IRAPT website as well as the VSM website to begin the outbound processes. Create barcodes and RFID labels. What needs to be done? Attend daily production / planning meetings to schedule packaging assuring on time shipment. Maintain materials and supplies as required to assure availability as needed. Decipher packing codes as listed in Contracts. Process sales orders and projects within D365. Determine if an item will be packaged in house or should be sent to an outside vendor for packaging. Crate, bag, or package units utilizing packing codes along with processes outlined in AFWI instructions. Enter data into government websites to process for shipment documents and to schedule pickups. Create barcode labels for Navy and USCG shipping containers. Create RFID labels if required per contract. Create UID tags if required per contract. Affix labelling per Military Standards. Work with Quality Control to resolve unit defects and packaging issues. Load shipments as required using available equipment. Enter tracking details into D365. Communicate with Navy to gather ship to data if shipping to a seaport. Communicate with Howden contract administrators to answer and packaging or shipping related questions. Other duties as assigned by the Shipping Receiving Lead or Warehouse Supervisor. What do I need to bring? Must be a U.S. Citizen High School Diploma or equivalent experience. At least 2 years of relevant experience. Prior knowledge of Military contracts and packaging a plus. Ability to operate electric, pneumatic, and cordless power tools. Wood working skills a plus. Ability to create and maintain strong relationships with other departments and employees. High moral and ethical standards; integrity is continuously apparent. Strong interpersonal skills – active listener, clear and concise communicator (both oral and written); good collaboration skills. Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Ability to work on multiple projects with conflicting time constraints. Computer literate with Microsoft Excel experience preferred. Ability to operate a forklift. This is a physical position that requires the individual to frequently lift up to 70 lbs, have a full range of motion and be able to load, unload and drive all company vehicles as required. High School Diploma/GED Exemplary attendance and punctuality and willingness to work all hours that the plant requires to ensure on time delivery Self-Starter Excellent communication skills and overall attitude Team player/builder Flexible to work other positions as needed At least 1-2 years’ experience in manufacturing environment preferably in the Logistics or Shipping/Receiving areas Experience utilizing electric and pneumatic tools required Experience using nail gun, stapler, miter saw, drills, impact wrenches, reciprocating saw and a variety of other hand tools Previous forklift and/or walk behind pallet jack preferred Previous overhead crane experience preferred What will you get in return?
