JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for supporting the manufacturing departments by maintaining existing equipment and by continuously improvement of processes with introduction of new equipment that will produce parts that consistently meet or exceed our customers’ requirements.
Conceives, evaluates and implements part/process improvement activities via problem solving, cost reduction and energy saving ideas.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- General technical support for the Operation’s by designing, modifying or upgrading existing equipment within the Facility
- Responsible for design through installation of capital equipment and specialized machinery
- Facilitates project planning through communication with vendors, suppliers and plant Operation’s to ensure all objectives are realized
- Maintain engineering drawings/records and complete documentation on all assigned projects
- Provide support in order to troubleshoot/repair equipment breakdowns/ malfunctions
- Provide direction for energy conservation while planning improvements/modernization programs within the plant
- Provide Engineering support to Maintenance department and assist with troubleshooting activities
- Conducts Operator training in area of expertise
- Complies with all EHS rules required for the work environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Travel 10-20%
Physical Demands :
- Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds.
- Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts, be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and work in wet or humid conditions (non-weather), in extreme heat (non-weather), with risk of electrical shock and risk of radiation.
- The noise level is moderate.
- Some Travel will be required.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- 7 years technical experience in an industrial setting
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Solid understanding and hands-on techniques used in troubleshooting
- Efficient analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of environmental, healthy and safety laws, requirements and best practices
- Solid background with utilization of high voltage/frequency equipment
- PLC programming and basic knowledge of computers
- Solid Communication skills written and verbal

- Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in Technical Field
