What you’ll do:Procurement, source to pay, and supply management of assigned items and spend categories.Ensure alignment of the materials sourcing and supply strategy with business strategies together with multi-functional stakeholders.Negotiate contracts (costs, warranties, delivery, and handling)Provide input to supplier agreements and contract negotiations.Develop strategic objectives focusing on quality, cost, flexibility, productivity, speed, and continuous availability of materials and finished components.Identify risks and utilize material requirement planning (MRP), capacity management and advanced planning system technologies.Conduct RFP’s and RFQ’s in conjunction with originating departments.Assist in the sourcing of materials and suppliers for new products and projects.Monitor supplier performance and initiate process improvements. Qualifications:Minimum of four years of Buyer experience in a manufacturing facility required. Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.Read, analyze, and link business requirements to sourcing plans.Manage complex supply information and translate sound sourcing strategies.Define problems, collect data, establish, and draw valid conclusions.Create an environment of collaboration that encourages problem solving and improvement.Some domestic and international travel may be required.
