We are currently hiring a Final Inspector

Wage: $22.50/hr. 10% shift differential

Shift: Monday-Friday, 3rd shift- 11:00pm-7:30am

SUMMARY

Inspect final product (frames and lenses) for any visible irregularities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Duties

• Inspect the final product according to the Final Inspection Release Criteria (optics and cosmetics)
• Check optics per ANSI, proper coatings
• Check visual condition/quality of completed jobs
• Know reasons to reject and where to expedite
• Ability to understand Rx and work ticket
• Communicate with Supervisor/Manager regarding issues and problems

Secondary Duties

• Cross-train in other positions (i.e. mounting, etc.)
• Help/Assist in other areas of department when needed and as directed by Supervisor
• Visual Inspection

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• High School Diploma or GED
• ABO Certification helpful but not required

Experience

• Some optical laboratory experience required
• One-year Mounting experience
• Know and understand the process of eyeglass manufacturing and the details of the steps involved
