Job Summary
The Community Engagement Specialist will lead community engagement across all social channels for all HP Hood LLC brands. This will include monitoring for engagement opportunities, tracking trends in social conversation, and responding to all incoming brand messages. The role will also assist in developing social content (both written and graphic) to drive community engagement. To do so, the Community Engagement Specialist will work with cross-functional teams in Marketing, Design, Legal, and Regulatory. Additionally, the Community Engagement Specialist will assist the Marketing and Communications teams in specialty initiatives core to advancing the business.
Essential Duties Responsibilities:
- Lead community management across all social channels for all HP Hood LLC brands. This includes monitoring for and responding to comments and other engagement opportunities in public social forums, as well as managing all incoming direct message communications on behalf of each brand in accordance with their individual response plans.
- Assist in honing a unique and tailored voice/tone for each brand’s social channels.
- Lead social listening efforts, monitoring for trends in sentiment and social conversation around each brand and its competitors, and at the category level, and helping to identify engagement and content opportunities from these trends.
- Assist in developing monthly organic social content calendars and content concepts, and partner with Hood Design to produce social content pieces.
- Support in publishing organic content to each brand’s respective social channels.
- Provide back up support for Consumer Affairs team as needed.
Education and Experience
- 4-year college degree (BA/BS), or equivalent relevant experience in marketing, communications, public relations or related field.
- Knowledge of all social platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube and TikTok, as well as monitoring capabilities within each.
- Exposure to social listening platforms a plus.
Skills and Competencies
- A passion for community engagement, social media, and social content strategy; past community management experience a plus.
- Ability to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including Consumer Affairs, Communications, Marketing, Legal, and Regulatory.
- A high level of focus and attention to detail.
- Exceptional communications skills, with a specific focus on strong written communication.
