Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- Assist with seating arrangements to ensure efficient use of dining space
- Manage waitlist during peak hours
- Answer phone calls and take reservations
- Provide accurate wait times and updates to waiting guests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of service
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests with professionalism and empathy
- Follow all health and safety guidelines
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems, specifically Aloha POS, is a plus
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Familiarity with restaurant or food service operations is desirable
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
