Responsibilities
- Expert Diagnosis and Repair: Accurately diagnose and repair complex issues in diesel vehicles, ensuring work meets dealership and factory standards while adhering to customer authorization.
- Streamlined Workflow: Efficiently execute repairs outlined in work orders, maintaining clear communication with the parts department and leadership regarding needed parts, delays, and special orders.
- Thorough Documentation: Clearly document all repairs using the concern-cause-correction format, ensuring transparency for customers and accurate billing.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough road tests after repairs to verify functionality and exceed customer expectations.
- Customer Focus: Maintain cleanliness of customer vehicles and prioritize their satisfaction throughout the service process.
- Technical Expertise: Stay updated on industry advancements by reviewing technical bulletins and actively participating in training programs.
- Organization and Efficiency: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, manage your personal tool inventory, and utilize provided equipment responsibly.
- Teamwork and Communication: Collaborate effectively with the shop foreman, team leader, and service advisor, promptly communicating any issues or updates.
- Proven Experience: Demonstrate a minimum of 4 year of verifiable experience in diesel repair, showcasing your ability to effectively diagnose and repair vehicles.
- Technical Expertise: Possess a high school diploma or equivalent and proficiency in dealership computer systems, preferably with ADP software experience. ASE certification further strengthens your candidacy.
- Mechanical Prowess: Exhibit strong mechanical skills, allowing you to confidently tackle repairs and utilize tools efficiently.
- Teamwork and Communication: Collaborate seamlessly with colleagues across the dealership, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
