What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head of Contracting position at HR Bullpen, LLC.?
Head of Contracting directly manages the Project Management, Project Engineering, CAD, I&C and Document Control roles and represents the company as a member of the global Contracting organization. The goal of the team is to ensure contracts meet internal business goals and that our external clients are satisfied with the product provided by the company.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Ensure the operational parameters and processes are managed and executed for which the respective compressor system will be applied and integrated.
· Function as a member of the leadership team and be responsible in strategic decisions regarding organizations goals and work with the team to help and guide move the company in the right direction.
· Apply all applicable local engineering codes, practices and standards, including company standards, as well as to ensure customer specifications and requirements are met.
· Have an understanding of customer terms and conditions associated with an order and ensure delivery requirements, deadlines, targets and/or milestones are met.
· Build business relationships and ensure effective communication, such as the transfer of document transmittals between the company and other company entities, between the company and customers, and between the company and our suppliers.
· Plan and control project schedules, resources, and ensure complete and on time reporting.
· Able to perform risk management evaluations and recommend corrective action plans to mgmt.
· Ensure documents such as supplier proposals, data sheets, comments to specs, , department files, project documents and electronic files are properly organized, stored, and up to date.
· Provide technical guidance and support to sales during the quotation phase.
· Develop, maintain, document and implement work processes that allow for high efficiency and maximum performance during order execution.
· Understand and follow ISO 9001, Internal Control Systems (CS), accounting procedures, and workflow processes concerning project management and make suggestions for improvement.
· Train, develop, mentor, and provide effective leadership to the team and plan mid to long term personnel requirements.
· Ensure all safety requirements according to Government regulations and the company's safety manual are met and to strictly enforce company policies.
· Ensure that the PM team delivers it projects on-time, within scope and within budget
· Implement definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
· Develop and maintain key client relationships.
· Proactively manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
· 10 years' experience in a Project Management role. Preference for experience with compressor packaging, engineered to order projects and reciprocating compressors
· Proven leadership ability and strong commercial skills
· Bachelor's degree in mechanical Engineering preferred. (Engineering preferred)
· Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience with reciprocating compressor packaging
· Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and team-oriented attitude
· Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
· PMP certification is a plus
· Ability to travel domestically and internationally
LANGUAGE/MATH/REASONING ABILITY
· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
COMPUTER SKILLS
· Proficient personal computer skills including MS Office, electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $160,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
