HR by BZ is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our client’s team as a Junior Estimator. This position will be based in East Petersburg, PA. As a Junior Estimator, you will work closely with the Preconstruction team to assist in the creation of accurate and competitive construction estimates. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in quantity takeoff, scope analysis, subcontractor coordination, and more. Responsibilities
- Assist in the review of bid documents, including blueprints, specifications, and project scope.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and material pricing for assigned trades.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to gather and evaluate pricing information.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of bid proposals.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of estimating processes and practices.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and timely estimating.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, with some relevant coursework or experience in construction or related fields.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction specifications
- Strong analytical and math skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
