What You'll Do:
As a Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for reviewing, designing, and creating graphics that meet customer specifications and business goals.
Your Accountabilities in the Role:
- Receives and reviews design direction from the customer or from internal areas, ensuring understanding of specifications.
- Creates computer generated artwork, ensuring alignment to customer specifications, budgets, and production constraints.
- Provides creative suggestions on design aspects, including color and arrangement, for a more aesthetic appeal to win sales.
- Modifies the designs to meet the sizes requested, based on the job, to ensure it fits within the budget and customer goals.
- Prioritizes the work and projects to ensure all projects meet the schedule and deadlines.
- Collaborates and brainstorms with other designers and the Art Director to create a finished presentation for the customer.
- Collaborates and communicates with Sales and other departments to ensure projects meet customer and business expectations.
- Submits the final designs to Sales or the Art Director, based on the project, for presentation to Customer.
- After approval, scales the design and submits cut lines to Quoting Department to ensure accurate quoting.
- Once the design is approved, communicates with digital pre-press personnel to ensure graphic designs will be produced that meet the desired specifications.
Position Requirements:
- Education: Associates Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Experience: 1 years of related experience in large graphic design or adequate understanding of fundamentals preferred; will train the right person.
- Certification(s): N/A
- Functional Skills: This role requires high attention to detail with an ability to read and understand documents, procedures and specifications, along with the ability to create/alter illustrations to enlarge, reduce, or clarify the image. This role also requires strong planning, prioritization, organization, and analytical skills, with creative, problem-solving skills to think through issues in a fast-paced environment to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Technology Aptitude/Skills: Above average computer skills, data entry, and functional knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite products including Photoshop and Illustrator required.
- Language Skills: Solid verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with other departments and clients, as needed.
- Leadership/Behaviors: Strong work ethic, energy level, pace, and values; strong focus on the customer, quality and accuracy, with the ability to be collaborative and the flexibility to move to priorities throughout the operation areas.

Pay/Salary: Exceptional hourly pay with discretionary bonuses.

Core Hours: 7:00 am to 5:00 pm is the core work hours (Hours can be flexible as needed)
Typical Work Week: M-F; with an occasional Saturday; 40-43 hours a week on average during peak times.

Work/Environment: Standard office environment. Requires good vision with ability to see colors.
