WE are a large restaurant group with locations throughout the US and Internationally.

Spanish is not required.

The primary job responsibilities include preparing and entering journal entries for month-end closing, preparing and monitoring monthly account reconciliations with explanations for any significant changes in account balances, and preparing various financial reports.

Reporting to the CFO- the Accounting Manager will develop and produce routine summary financial reports required to monitor the financial health of restaurant operations and the company. In addition, this role will maintain excellent relationships with managers, employees, guests and clients as well as other departments within the operation.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Embodies the standards of Restaurant Brand by displaying professionalism in all forms of communication.
  • Manage the monthly and annual financial close, including account reconciliations, entering journal entries, and maintaining accurate records and files
  • Assist in maintaining the US GAAP ledger in Quickbooks Online
  • Reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger account balances
  • Verify posted transactions to the general ledger for accuracy
  • Perform monthly balance sheet account analysis and reconciliation with corresponding schedules
  • Complete the period-end closing process and book appropriate journal entries
  • Assist Controller with any audit/review related questions/requests (Year-end review, General Liability audits, sales tax audits, workers’ compensation, etc.)
  • Assist Financial team with designing and implementing new control procedures related to month-end close and other general accounting activities
  • Assist Financial team with implementation of new accounting standards
  • Perform a detailed review of expense accounts for proper accruals, coding and accounting and will investigate reporting discrepancies / anomalies and communicate issues as they arise in a timely manner.
  • Review monthly co-employment invoices from benefit providers for accuracy and completeness prior to scheduling payment
  • Recording cash movement transactions from financial institutions
  • Assist with special projects, as needed

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required
  • 2-5 years of work experience in a highly analytical and strategic role.
  • Experience in hospitality industry is preferred.
  • Strong financial and computer skills; has experience working with and an understanding of P&L’s and budgeting.
  • An expert in Excel and Powerpoint: Ability to navigate and utilize Microsoft Office Suite programs (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), appropriate point of sale (POS) systems, and any other required operating machines (i.e. online or digital reservation systems).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays in addition to normal business hours, as needed.
  • Must have excellent leadership, organizational, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • A natural curiosity that leads to quick understanding of new subjects.
  • Must be able to multitask in a demanding, high volume environment under limited supervision.
  • Professional demeanor and polished appearance with the ability to interact with patrons and all types of team members.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and in clear English.
  • $100-$130K

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
