Pay - $13.00 to $15.00 per hour

SUMMARY

The Housekeeper is responsible for attending to our facilities with integrity and will have attention to detail. The goal is to create a clean and orderly environment for our guests that will become a critical factor in maintaining and strengthening our reputation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishing

· Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards

· Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies

· Notify supervisor of any damage in the room, shortfalls, and / or disturbances that may affect the guest’s experience.

· Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience.

· Check Stock levels for all consumables; and ensure that replacements are added to the requisition.

· Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not require supervision of employees.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED:

· High school or equivalent

· Proven experience as a cleaner or housekeeper

· Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance

· Customer-oriented and friendly

· Prioritization and time management skills

· Working quickly without compromising quality

PREFERRED:

· Hospitality: 1 year (Preferred)

LANGUAGE SKILLS

· Excellent verbal communication skills should be professional and accurate.

· Ability to interact with a very diverse and international customer base.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

· Ability to use simple math equations.

REASONING ABILITY

· Analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills are required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

· 1.5 City blocks of building on the property, which include restaurant, coffee house, meeting venue, art gallery, bed-and-breakfast, bakery, coffee roaster and gardens.

· Multi-story buildings, with stairs.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

· $13.00 to $15.00 per hour

· Medical, Dental, Vision for Full-Time Employee = employer pays a minimum of 50% of employee’s premium, indexed annually based on ACA affordability guidelines. (Part-Time Employee is not eligible for health benefits.)

· Flexible schedule, as determined by the Manager and in accordance with the entity’s needs.

· Observed Holidays: The Bed and Breakfast facilities at the Bluff View Art District are open year-round.
